- Hi, I'm writing a Windows Winsock client for a client/server app now running
- on a Sun. I'm working in MSVC, and using Chameleon Winsock. The client is
- basically working, but whenever the server sends me more than 64K bytes,
- I get a GPF in NMPCIP.DLL. I am doing multiple recv() calls for a
- reasonable number of bytes each - I've tried 512 and 2048 as the
- maximum size for the recv calls, with no discernable difference. The code
- works fine when the server is sending less than 64K bytes.
-
- There is a setsockopt call that can specify the size of the buffer for recv's,
- but the value is an int, so that doesn't do me much good.
-
- Anybody have any ideas?
-
- Thanks,
- Bill Turner

- Subject: How does someone talk to ME
-
- I am running Wintalk, and the biggest question that I have is:
-
- How does someone talk to me?!?!?!?
-
- Since I am not connected to my account, they must find out the address that I
- am connceted at, but the only problem is that the address that I am logged in
- at is always changing. I haven't gotten Wintalk to run, but this is a problem
- that someone I know has. I think that the major thing that I/we need to know
- is:
-
- Where does Wintalk look to see if some one is trying to talk to you?
-
- Please get some answers to me.
